Wherever the road leads, there’s a place by the hearth.
We’re the Wayward Hearth, a small group of family and friends coming together for World of Warcraft: Forever. We’re looking forward to rediscovering Azeroth, building something worth being part of and finding like-minded players who want to enjoy the journey along with us.
We’re not here to rush to the finish line, turn the game into a second job or measure people by their gear. We’re here because we love Warcraft and we want to build a guild that continues to give us reasons to login.
Whether you’re a veteran returning to familiar lands, a newer player discovering them for the first time or someone who’s been waiting for the right opportunity to start fresh, there’s a place for you at the Hearth.
Who we are
The Wayward Hearth is being built by a close-knit group of family and friends with years of experience in World of Warcraft. Between us, we’ve been playing since the original game’s release, experienced the highs and lows of guild life, led raiding teams through encounters and spent countless hours exploring Azeroth.
Our aim is to create a guild where people recognise familiar names when they log in, where asking for a hand is welcomed and where there’s usually someone online to join you on an adventure.
We’re experienced players but we’re not interested in making experience a barrier to entry. You don’t need an impressive history, encyclopaedic game knowledge or a perfectly planned character. A good attitude and a willingness to enjoy the game alongside others go a long way.
What We Value
We know that many of us are no longer the players we were twenty years ago. Work, family, responsibilities and life outside the game come first.
We respect people’s time and we expect the same consideration in return.
Real life comes first.
No guilt for being unavailable, taking a break or playing less during a busy week.
Reliability over relentless activity.
We don’t expect everyone to be online constantly. When we make plans together, we want to be people others can count on.
Progress without pressure.
We want to improve, overcome challenges and take group content seriously, but not at the expense of enjoying the game.
A guild, not a queue.
We’d like to know the people we play with, help one another and create the kind of atmosphere that makes logging in worthwhile.
We believe a casual guild can still be organised, a friendly guild can still be ambitious, and taking the game seriously doesn’t mean taking ourselves too seriously. That’s the balance we’re aiming for.
Wherever the Road Leads
We’re starting with a small group, a shared love of Warcraft and the intention to build something we can enjoy for years to come. There’ll be plenty to learn, plenty to explore and, hopefully, plenty of adventures worth remembering.
If we sound like the sort of guild you’d like to be part of, pull up a chair, set down your pack and stay a while.
The Wayward Hearth is waiting. We’ll see you in Azeroth.
